God-fathering is an engaging workshop that gives remarkable insights into God as parent which in turn offers us imortant guidance in how to best parent our kids.

When we discover God, we discover parenting.

When we discover parenting, we discover God.

Over the years, I have studied and struggled with my own parenting and helped others as a family counselor address challenging issues. As I discovered and understood both mistakes of my own and my clients, I realized more and more how God doesn’t make the mistakes that we as parents make. When we recognize mistakes, we have the opportunity to learn from them and improve. This ultimately leads to better and better ways to parent and improve our style and approach. As I discovered more effective ways to parent, I began recognizing not only my own hope of becoming a better father but that God has a parenting style of his own. God’s fathering is perfect.

He loves in exactly the way we need to be loved.

He teaches in just the right way we need to be taught.

He disciplines in just the way we need to be disciplined.

He parents exactly as we need to be parented.

The God-fathering Workshop has a two-fold purpose: to benefit your parenting and your relationship with God at the same time. This workshop is available as a half-day program which can be offered to your church or community. This workshop is conducted by David Bruce, LMFT and Mike Newman, LMFT. They are Christian counselors who have worked with parents and families for many years both clinically and in private practice.
